Te Whanau a Apanui/ Kai Tahu/ Whakatōhea
I was born and raised in Rotorua (spending a few years in Wellington) before coming to London in 2016, where I have since been a part of the Ngāti Rānana whanau.
For me Ngāti Rānana is a safe space for all to engage with, and learn from Te Ao Māori. Coupled with this our rōpu offers a connection back home (to New Zealand) through the haka and waiata passed down from our tipuna.
Our kaupapa is inclusivity, our purpose is to advance the mana of Te Ao Māori in the UK and across Europe and we always strive for excellence on the stage, the paepae and in the whare kai.
Everyone is welcome and we look forward to welcoming you to the Ngāti Rānana whānau.
