Ngāti Pakeha/ Ngāti Ngaro

Kia ora e te iwi. I tupu ake ahau i Rotorua, kei Rānana ahau e noho ana. I grew up in Rotorua — the geothermal wonderland of boiling mud and fire from deep inside the earth, famous for love stories, and tourism. After school I decided to travel the world, and eventually ended up in London where I have stayed, and now work in storytelling for a living.

Despite loving my work here in the film industry, I was always homesick, missing the culture I grew up surrounded by and immersed in. Coming to Ngāti Rānana in 2019 felt like homecoming. Here I found a place and a people who fed my wairua. I recommend it to anyone and everyone who finds themselves missing home. My experience in various management roles, alongside growing up around my family’s accounting firm gives me valuable experience that I plan to bring to the support and care of this rōpū in the role of Kaitiaki Moni (Treasurer).
